Assignment Details
Fire P.A.L.S. (Prevent Accidents Live Safe) is an injury prevention program implemented by the Waterloo, Iowa public and parochial elementary school system. The goal of the program is to "Provide academic instruction on injury prevention and control as part of a quality school health education program in at least 50% of the public school systems."

About the Site:
The goal of this site was simple, provide an educational tool that could be utilized by teachers and parents to help encourage general injury prevention to their students and children.

The site features content for both children and adults. The curriculum is taught to the children through a series of educational Flash animated videos. The Fire PALS characters were developed to act as narrators in these videos. Visitors to the site instruct the Fire PALS characters through a series of games intended to draw interest to a specific injury prevention topic.

This is the third version of the site, the organization has also used the character illustrations on several offline promotional materials and events.

Yes, I know these kids look like they live in South Park, but give me a break, I'm a web guy, not an illustrator.
